Francesca Bailey is a licensed massage therapist with a focus on Swedish and Deep Tissue massage. She is also experienced in the technique of Myofascial Release. Francesca has had great success in treating chronic neck, low back pain, and soft tissue injuries.
Francesca graduated from the Downeast School of Massage in Waldoboro, Maine in 2003 with a focus in the Mind/Body program. She is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. Along with being a licensed massage therapist, Francesca holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation. Her studies solidified her personal belief that each person must be recognized as a whole; encompassing body, mind and spirit.
Being Native American, Francesca has a natural ability to understand energy work and aligns herself completely with the rhythm of each individual she serves, which in turn allows her clients to experience balance and peace. Francesca is attuned to the intricate connection of the emotional and spiritual self. She derives great pleasure from helping others release pain, stress, and tension allowing for the client to regain the ability to enjoy their life.
Francesca believes that it is both humbling and a privilege to be part of such conscious, compassionate and transformational work. She takes this privilege seriously. "Working through intuition, yet soundly rooted in clinical knowledge, my ultimate goal is to create a peaceful, nurturing space where balance, health, and connection to oneself and the world can be restored."
Francesca is a proud member of the Passamaquoddy tribe located in Downeast, Maine. She participates in ritual dancing, singing, and drumming. This is her heritage. Another area that Francesca is passionate about is hula hooping and her collection of "hoops" grow daily.
Francesca surrounds herself with loving friends, Mittens & Tui her cats, and family, who together feed her soul.
